Recommended scanner settings

Zebra TC21/TC26 will also apply to TC22/TC27

If Tixly Scanner app does not scan using barcode reader, check the following settings on the device

• Navigate to settings and tap on Data Wedge
• Scroll down to "Keystroke output"  and confirm it's enabled
• Go in to "Key event character"
• Enable the following:
                   "Send Characters as Events"
                   "Send Enter as String"
                   "Send Control Characters as Events"
• Now go back and scroll to "Basic data formatting" and check "Enable, Send data, Send ENTER key"

• Scroll down to find Intent output and confirm it's enabled
• Then go down to "Basic data formatting" and check "Enable, Send data"

To make use of the built in notification sounds on the app which differs for a successful and failed scan

• Navigate to the device Settings and tap on Sound.
• Use the sliders to set the volume and set Media volume to high and the others to low.
  
  

Screen locks with very short intervals 

• Navigate to the settings on the unit 
• Then go to Settings → Display → Screen Timeout
• Here you can adjust the time that you want the scanner to be "unlocked"
