If Tixly Scanner app does not scan using barcode reader, check the following settings on the device

Ensure the following settings are set on the MT93 scanner in order for the scanner to be able to scan tickets.

Step-by-Step Configuration for Broadcast Intents on Newland MT93

1. Open Scanner Settings

  • From the device's home screen, swipe down to access the Quick Settings menu.

  • Tap on "Scan" to open the scanner settings.

2. Set Output Mode to API

  • In the Scan settings, find the option "Output mode".

  • Set it to:
    API
(This allows intent-based communication instead of keyboard wedge mode.)

3. Configure Broadcast Output Settings

  • Scroll to or find the “Broadcast output settings” option and open it.

4. Set Intent Broadcast Values

Update the following fields with these values:

  • Broadcast Action:

com.zebra.dwintents.ACTION

com.symbol.datawedge.data_string

If the app does not respond, try the fallback:

com.motorolasolutions.emdk.datawedge.data_string

  • Barcode Type Name Extra:

com.symbol.datawedge.label_type
