If Tixly Scanner app does not scan using barcode reader, check the following settings on the device

  • Navigate to settings and tap on Data Wedge
  • Click on the 3 dots in the top right corner and select New Profile
  • Create a new profile and open the new profile
  • Press Associated apps and then press the three dots at the top right and choose New app/activity to associate the profile with the Tixly scan app
  • From the list of apps, choose com.scanApp and from the list of activities, choose *
  • Then press the back button to return to the profile.
  • Scroll down to find Intent output and confirm it's enabled
  • The intent settings should be:
    • Intent action: com.zebra.dwintents.ACTION
    • Intent category: android.intent.category.DEFAULT
    • Intent delivery: Broadcast intent
  • Keystroke output should be disabled

Under Barcode input > Configure scanner settings > Scan params configure the following: 

  • Decode Haptic Feedback
  • Decode LED Notification

To make use of the built in notification sounds on the app which differs for a successful and failed scan

  • Navigate to the device Settings and tap on Sound.
  • Use the sliders to set the volume and set Media volume to high and the others to low.

Screen locks with very short intervals 

  • Navigate to the settings on the unit 
  • Then go to Settings → Display → Screen Timeout
  • Here you can adjust the time that you want the scanner to be "unlocked"
