Merge customers
To merge customers, navigate to Administration > Customers > Merge customers.
From here it is possible to search for a specific customer to remove duplicates for that specific customer, or go through the duplicates in the customer database based on Name, email, mobile or home phone number.
Search for customer
In search you can search for name, email, mobile, address etc. To the left you select which customer card will become the Master and select which other customer cards should be included in the merge. Either choose to Merge the customer (all orders on the selected customers will end up on the Master) or choose Edit & Merge. All orders on those customer cards will then also become one but you are given the possibility to edit the customer information first.
If the master has an empty customer field that is filled in for the other account, Tixly does not merge the fields.
When merging customers, customer tags and permissions will follow to the master. The web user of the master will become the active web user and the other web users will be deleted. If the master does not have a web user, the web user of the other customer card will be connected.
Use predefined field
When choosing one of the predefined fields the system will display the first duplicate (the one with the lowest customer number). Now you have 3 choices, either Skip, Edit & Merge or Merge. If Skip is chosen, no merge will be done and you will see the next duplicate. By doing this you can work your way through the customer database and eliminate the number of duplicates.
Disallow merge
On the right there is a toggle to disallow a customer card from being merged. When Allow Merge is set to no these customers will no longer appear when the customer search or the preselected search (name, e-mail, mobile or phone) is used. This function is useful if you never want to merge certain customers but also don't want to skip them every time you use the preselected search functions.
