Special offer

Special offer links can be used to offer discounted ticket types or specific allocations via a separate sales link. This link can then be shared with a specific group of customers. 


Create a special offer

A special offer is initially created in an individual event and can then be edited to include more event dates. 

  1. 1. Ticket type

    1. Create a new ticket type that should be used for the special offer.
      New ticket types can be created via Administration > Tickets > Ticket Types.
  2. 2. Event

    1. Navigate to Administration > Events > Dates and open the event that should be included in the special offer.
  3. 3. Price

    1. Add the ticket type and special offer price to the event date or multiple dates at the same time using the bulk edit. The ticket type should have Box Office sale access only.  
  4. 4. Generate link

    1. Navigate to the Specialoffer tab within the event and click the star > Generate offer link. If you want to include more than one ticket type in the link, just add the first one and then add the rest in the Special Offer module. The special offer link is now created and can immediately be used to sell tickets.

The default event group is preselected when creating a special offer link. If you want to use a secondary event group, select the correct event group from the drop down before creating the link. A secondary event group allows you to offer events from different event groups in one special offer link. 

Advanced settings

If you would like to edit the special offer either click the blue star > Edit or navigate to Administration > Events > Special offer

Information

  1. Name

    1. Special offer name, visible in the module list, for the customer in the online flow and in reports.
  2. Start & end date

    1. Define when the special offer should be active.
  3. Description

    1. Description is displayed in the online flow before the start date/time of the special offer and always shown when a landing page is active. 
  4. Skin

    1. Choose the skin / branding for the weblink.
      The skin is not saved on the special offer, so select the correct skin before copying the link.
  5. Weblink

    1. This link leads to the special offer and is the link that should be distributed.
    2. It is important to copy the link from this field or directly from the special offer tab in an event. NEVER use the URL that is presented in the browser, a correct special offer link ALWAYS ends with an encrypted extension
  6. Event

    1. It is possible to add more events within the same event group to the special offer.
  7. Min & Max tickets online

    1. Minimum and Maximum number of tickets that the ticket buyer can purchase in one order.
  8. Allocation

    1. A special offer link can be connected to an allocation, making it possible to reserve certain seats for the special offer. Either select the allocation or keep it to all free seats if all available seats should be included in the special offer. 
  9. Numbered seating view

    1. Select whether customers will see the hall map in the online buying process.
  10. Special note (shown online)

    1. Extra text field that is shown online below the ticket type selection.
    2. Only visible when pick seats first is not active.
  11. Add ticket type

    1. From the drop-down additional ticket types can be added to the special offer. 

  1. Online quantity rule

    1. Define if there are any quantity rules connected to the ticket type.
      • 0,2,4,6,8: The customer can buy 0, 2, 4, 6 or 8 tickets. Not 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 etc.
      • 0,8-20: The customer can purchase between 8 and 20 tickets. No less than 8 and not more than 20.
      • 0,2,4,6,10-20: The customer can purchase 2, 4, 6 or between 10 and 20 tickets.
    2. Always start with 0, otherwise the customer is required to buy the ticket type.
      Do not use spaces in the sequence.

To remove a ticket type, click the to the right of the ticket type.
To remove a whole event, click the on the event row.

If all event dates should have the same settings for min/max tickets, quota etc. apply the settings to the first event and then add the additional date(s). Then all settings will be copied to the next event you'll add.

Use password

Under the Advanced tab set Use password to Yes to make the special offer password protected. The green lock icon next to Advanced indicates if there is a password connected to the special offer or not.

  1. Global password

    1. Define ONE password that is used by all ticket buyers that should have access to the special offer. Without the password you will not be able to access the special offer.
  2. Upload passwords

    1. Upload a file (TXT or CSV) with one unique password per row. Each unique password can then be used once to access the special offer. The number of uploaded passwords will be shown at the top with the possibility to download them.
    2. If you have uploaded one batch of passwords and then upload another batch, the batch will be replaced with the new passwords.
  3. Auto generate passwords

    1. It is possible to automatically generate passwords based on ticket number or order number for purchases made in other events. 
    2. E.g. If you buy tickets to Event X, you will get access to a special offer for Event Y.

  1. Events

    1. Search for the event(s) on the basis of which passwords are to be generated.
  2. Ticket Types

    1. Select one or multiple ticket types, alternatively, leave it empty for all ticket types. 
  3. Prefix

    1. Choose whether a prefix should be added to the generated password.
  4. Type

    1. Define if passwords should be generated based on the Order ID or Ticket ID.
    2. Example: A customer purchased 18 & Under tickets to the Great Musical and gets access to a special offer with the password: "TIX273625" (prefix + Order ID). If Ticket ID would have been chosen and the customer had bought 4 tickets, they would get 4 passwords based on #PREFIX and #TICKETID.
  5. Customer tag

    1. If a tag is selected, all customers with a web profile and the selected tag will get access to the special offer. In addition, it is possible to define how many times the customer would be able to use the offer. They can access the special offer via the weblink, their online account or via a pop-up on the included event. 

Advanced

Below Use password additional advanced settings can be applied.

  1. Landing page

    1. The landing page contains the event group description and image, and the special offer name in the banner. 
  2. Override notes

    1. Define if Heading text online and Note text online set on event group level should be overridden by the text input on special offer level. 
  3. Delivery types

    1. Specify if the special offer has a specific delivery type, leave blank if the delivery method of the event should be used. 
  4. Payment types

    1. Define whether deviating payment types are to be applied. Needs to be configured by Tixly Support.

Queue-IT

It is possible to activate Queue-It to a special offer.
