Gift card

Via Administration > Gift Cards > Settings it is possible to edit the gift card settings.

Information

1. Name

   1. Name used in the online flow.

2. Expiry years

   1. Number of years the gift card is valid from the date of purchase.

3. Payment type

   1. Payment type should be set to Gift card and should not be changed.

4. Default BO price

   1. The default price used in Box Office sales, price / value can be changed per sale.

5. Force gift card groups

   1. If the workgroup uses several different gift cards, the main gift card can be hidden from view when selling. Mostly used if multiple organisations / theatres share the same workgroup, but want to have their own gift cards. 

6. Available numbers

   1. Shows the number of available gift card numbers for Box Office and Online. Contact Tixly Support if these numbers need to be increased.

Available online

Choose whether the gift card is available online or not by switching the toggle to yes. 

1. Skin

   1. Choose the skin / branding for the weblink.

2. Weblink

   1. Link to the online buying flow of the gift card.

3. Description

   1. Description shown in the online flow.

4. Delivery types

   1. Define the available delivery types.

5. Email

   1. When a gift card is sold with delivery type delivery, an email can be sent to notify that a gift card needs to be printed and sent to the customer.

6. Mail template

   1. Select whether to use the default confirmation e-mail layout or a dedicated one for the gift card. When the customer buys multiple items in one order, the default template will be sent.

7. Online price options

   1. Add pre-defined gift card values and/or an open value box to the online buying flow.

8. Text when using online

   1. Text field displayed to customers in the final step of the online buying flow, where number and pin are entered to redeem the gift card.

Translations

You can translate Name, Description and Text when using online.

Finance

If required, add an external reference number, department, account and/or dimensions to the events. These numbers will show up in several reports and the finance export.

Layout

Under the Layout tab it is possible to select which gift card layouts should be used for the different ticket printers as well as the PDF download of the gift card. For the PDF it is possible to add multiple layouts and let the customer decide which layout they want to use when they download the PDF from their online receipt page. 

It could for example be used to offer a dedicated Christmas layout or a summer special.

Gift Card Groups

Via Administration > Gift Cards > Groups it is possible to create additional gift card groups. Groups can be used to create event specific gift cards, since they can be connected to individual event dates. Groups also belong to a specific organisation. Each group can gave a different expiry period. To create a new group, click Add group in the top right corner. 

This new gift card can be sold online via a dedicated purchase link as well as in Box Office in the regular gift card sales view.

It is possible to add a Prefix to the gift card group in order to distinguish them from the other gift cards.

A specific payment type can be created to connect to a gift card group, this way the specific payment type is used in reports and gift card usage can be tracked better.
