Products

A product in Tixly can represent many different options inside of a buying flow for clients and customers.

At its core a product is an additional item that can be added to an order. This can be done in the basket after tickets, attached to a ticket type, purchased by a customer from their receipt page after purchase, or processed through the box office as a standalone item.

They can hold both an overall stock, as well as an individual event quota. Some product examples include merchandise items, VIP packages, concession sales, and dinner packages.

Connecting products to events or ticket types

There are two ways of using products together with events.

  • As an up-sell
  • As a forced product connected to a ticket type

Products as up-sell

When editing an event there is a tab called Products. Under this tab all products that should be available in the online flow should be selected. Per product it is possible to define a quota and when each product should be removed from online sales.

The quota is only applied to the specific event date. Quotas can not be shared across multiple events.

Event specific product weblink

Under the same tab there is a purchase link directly to the products that are available for the specific event date. The link could for instance be used to upsell products in a pre-event email.

Ticket type with forced products

Under the Hall & Prices tab there is a shopping cart icon to the right of the price matrix. Clicking on this icon makes it possible to connect a product to a ticket type so that when a customer buys the specific ticket type they're also forced to purchase the connected product.

It is possible to select existing products in the drop down or to quick create a new one directly from the interface by clicking Add new. The product can then be edited afterwards from the product module.

The total price that the customer sees and pays is the combined price from the ticket and the product. If the ticket is priced at €20 and the product at €10 the customer will see a price of €3
