It is possible to import barcodes or tickets into the Tixly system. When importing barcodes the system will use the external barcodes in the Tixly sales process. If tickets were sold by another ticketing system these tickets could be imported into the system to be scannable at the event. The module can be found under Administration – Events – Import barcodes/tickets.
Import barcodes
If external barcodes must be used on the tickets sold by Tixly, this module can be used. For instance, if a streaming provider has generated its own passwords to get access to the streaming link, these passwords can be imported into Tixly and will be used when tickets to the event are sold.
- Event: Select the event on which the barcodes should be imported. If there are already tickets sold by Tixly for the event, the barcodes of those tickets will not be changed.
- Choose file: Select the .txt or .csv file containing the external barcodes. Make sure there are as many barcodes as the capacity of the event and only one barcode per line.
Note! The system will give an error when the file contains duplicate barcodes that are already in the system.
Import tickets
If part of the event was sold by another ticketing system, their tickets can be imported into Tixly. This way the tickets will be scannable at the event and the amount of sold tickets in Tixly will match the actual numbers.
Unnumbered events
- Event: Select the event on which the tickets should be imported.
- Choose allocation (optional): Is there a specific allocation for the tickets.
- Add or replace: Decide if the tickets should be added to or replace tickets in Tixly.
- Add: The tickets will be added on top of the capacity and the availability will remain the same.
- Replace: All unsold seats will be replaced by the imported tickets, availability will be 0 and capacity the sum of sold and reserved tickets.
NOTE! If used in combination with an allocation the overall capacity will remain the same and the imported tickets will be taken out of the capacity of the allocation.
- Ticket type: Decide which ticket type the imported tickets should get. We recommend creating a specific ticket type for imported tickets.
- Single customer or one per ticket: Should all tickets be imported on one customer or should the system create a customer card for every imported ticket.
- Select customer: Select a customer on which all tickets should be imported or select the anonymous sale customer. We recommend creating specific customer(s) for imported tickets.
- One per ticket: The system will create a new customer card for the imported customers and an order for the imported tickets.
- Try to match existing customers?: If yes, the system will try to find if the imported customers already have a customer card in Tixly and will connect the imported tickets to that customer card.
- Choose file: Upload a .txt. or .csv file containing the tickets that need to be imported.
Numbered events
All imported tickets will be matched to a random seat (within an allocation) in the hall, so make sure your allocation contains the exact seats that were sold externally.
